Data visualisation

# From a reliable dashboard to data people remember.

Most teams need two things from their data. They need a dashboard they can trust every morning, and sometimes a way to tell a story that sticks. We build both. Hover, click and filter anything below.

All charts on this page use illustrative data. Client data is never shown.

01 · The everyday dashboard

## Trends, comparisons and shares, at a glance

This is the dashboard most software ships with: headline numbers, a trend over time, a breakdown by category and a share of the whole. We can set one up like this for any analytics you want to track, fed automatically from your systems.

**Sample Co. · Sales overview**

A sample sales dashboard with illustrative data. Four headline numbers (revenue, orders, conversion rate and active members) are each compared with the previous period and shown with a small trend line. Below them: daily revenue over time, revenue split by customer segment (members, new customers, business), revenue by sales channel (online store, marketplace, retail stores, wholesale, social), and average orders by day of the week with the busiest day highlighted. Buttons switch the period between 30 days, 90 days and 12 months.

#### Revenue trend · daily, AUD

#### Revenue by segment

#### Revenue by channel

#### Orders by weekday

**Connected to your data**: Pulled from your CRM, spreadsheets, forms or database on a schedule, so nobody updates it by hand.

**Built in the tool you use**: Looker Studio, Power BI or a custom web app, depending on who needs it and where.

**Numbers people agree on**: Every metric is defined once, so the dashboard ends arguments instead of starting them.

02 · Beyond the dashboard

## Creative ways to show data

When the goal is to explain, persuade or delight, a different shape often tells the story better.

01 · Radial timeline

### A year of automation runs, wrapped into a circle

Every day's workflow runs as one spoke around a clock face. Quiet weekends, month-end reporting peaks, the end-of-financial-year rush and the Christmas shutdown all show up once the year wraps around.

02 · Chord diagram

### Where Australians move when they change states

Interstate moves over a year. Each ribbon is a two-way flow between two states or territories, so the New South Wales to Queensland corridor stands out at once.

Arrival and departure totals for each state: ABS National, state and territory population, year to March 2026. Flows between each pair are modelled to match those totals.

03 · Beeswarm timeline

### Every change to a product, as a swarm

Each circle is one release, sized by how much changed and coloured by type. The swarm shows bursts of work and quiet spells across two years.

04 · Streamgraph

### Topics rising and falling over a year

Weekly mentions of five topics stacked around a centre line. It shows both the total volume and which topic owned each moment.

05 · Network

### A constellation of connected ideas

Topics as stars, links where they appear together. Clusters form on their own, and the brightest stars are the most connected.

06 · Unit chart

### One dot per person, regrouped by what they said

600 survey answers, each a single dot. Switching the question makes every dot move to its new group, so the reader sees the people behind the percentages.

07 · Sankey flow

### Where the data comes from and where it goes

Records flowing from source systems through cleaning and into the places people use them. Band width is volume, so bottlenecks and leaks are easy to spot.

08 · Bubble pack

### What's inside the total, bubble by bubble

Product categories as clusters and each product as a bubble sized by sales. A sea of small bubbles beside a few giants makes the concentration obvious.

09 · Hex map

### A map you can flip between today and tomorrow

Regions as equal hexagons so small areas aren't lost. Switch the scenario to compare today's demand with a 2035 projection.

10 · Calendar heatmap

### Every day of the year in one glance

One square per day, darker for busier. Weekly habits, holidays and the end-of-year rush all show up without a single axis label.
